A pair of sisters who run a thriving lemonade stand in Texas beg to differ with President Obama’s message that entrepreneurs “didn’t get there on your own,” and several grownups who groom the next generation of small business owners say the kids are right.

Clara Sutton, 7, and little sister Eliza, 4, started CoolBlast Lemonade in their suburban Houston neighborhood, and quickly generated business brisk enough to bring on another employee, younger brother Eirik. Their father said the kids have gotten a business education right out in front of their home under the watchful eyes of their parents — but with no help from the government.

“Nobody helped them except us,” Andrew Sutton, 35, said. “They did it on their own.”

You know what, US? Sometimes it just feels like you deserve a Romney presidency and all the decline and decay that your elected officials can bring down upon you.

Sounds to me like they proved the president’s point quite well! 

Nobody helped them except the workers who built the table and manufactured the lemonade pitcher and the teacher who taught them to read and count money and the local businesses that pay their employees enough to buy lemonade from the cute little girls down the street. And the people who paved that street and the policemen who keep it safe and the government board that makes sure lemonade mix isn’t full of rat poison and keeps the water supply clean enough to drink. Other than all those people, NOBODY!!!
