House GOP Unveils Bill To Kill AmeriCorps, End Federal Funding For NPR, PBS, Planned Parenthood

The measure is dead on arrival with Democrats but contains many provisions to please tea party conservatives.

“This bill is an extremely partisan proposal, stands little chance of even being brought up on the House floor, and will rightly be disregarded by both the Senate and the president,” said Rep. Norm Dicks of Washington, top Democrat on the Appropriations Committee.

Because Republicans like misinformed voters, and for women to be subjugated, and so many other things, they come up with bills like this. Isn’t it cute how they’re so fucking persistent?

I think it’s optimistic of Dicks (snort) to say it probably won’t be brought up in Congress. The Tea Party congressional reps are out of control.
