Everyone needs to pay special attention to this. The Georgia Association of College Republicans is sponsoring the premiere of a movie entitled “Runaway Slave”. The event page says, “The movie attempts to examine the reason why the black community aligns itself so closely with the Democratic party, when they are in face enslaved to the very system supposedly “helping” them. Runaway Slave focuses on the economic “slavery” of the black community (and any liberals) to a tyrannical government that has no intention of freeing them.”

At the premiere attendes will be wearing shirts that read “America, Run Harder” and “I am a Runaway Slave”. 

My ancestors were slaves. My great-great grandparents were sharecroppers. My grandparents got an education in segregated schools. My father’s generation suffered in a system that led to the Rodney King beating and subsequent race riots. I don’t need anyone telling me that I’m a slave.

Un-fucking-believable. Republicans truly think Democrats treat the Black community like slaves. Do they not know what slavery was? Just. The ignorance is appalling.
