now how often does government assistance(excluding financial aid) lead to a person escaping their life of poverty?
I don’t know, how many times has the free market lifted people out of poverty? Citations, please.
Actually, I do know. Medicare lifted 13 million elderly people out of poverty. Unemployment kept me out of poverty when I was laid off. Food stamps fed my sister while she waited tables and studied for the MCATS (she scored in the top 2 percentile and is currently deciding between NYU and Cornell for med school). And why are we excluding financial aid? Some types of government aid are super cool but any other kind is EVIL SOCIALISM?
